Southern Province Permanent Secretary, Dr. Naman Monze, has called for a strengthened and results-driven approach to service delivery through the establishment of effective Presidential Delivery Units (PDUs) at district level.
Speaking during a meeting with Heads of Government Departments in Zimba District, Dr. Monze urged public servants to embrace a culture of performance and accountability in line with the aspirations of the government.
He emphasized the importance of institutionalizing a delivery-focused mindset, stating that District PDUs must play a central role in ensuring that government priorities across various ministries are effectively implemented and monitored.
Dr. Monze further highlighted that Presidential directives remain critical in achieving the vision of the New Dawn Government, adding that public service institutions must align their operations to these directives to accelerate national development.
The Permanent Secretary was accompanied by Provincial Local Government Officer, Mainza Sikaale, Provincial Director of Finance, Mr. Jonathan Simfukwe, and other officials from the Provincial Administration.
Local leadership in attendance included Council Chairperson, Loveness Chigora, Council Secretary, Lubinda Mwala, District Commissioner, Robinson Mulamfu, as well as various Heads of Government Departments.
