Zimba is one of the thirteen (13) districts of Southern Province. The district is located southeast of Lusaka about 410 Kilometer along the (T1) Great – North road.  It shares boundary with Kalomo to the south north, Kazungula to the southwest, Choma and Sinazongwe to the east. Zimba district shares an international border with Zimbabwe through the mighty Zambezi River. It lies between Latitudes 16 and 17 South and Longitudes 26 and 27 East and covers a total area of 5,245 square kilometers in size.
